WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT SERVICES

QWES specialises in providing a variety of site based wildlife management services for its clients when special consideration is required for a certain species due to developmental impacts and associated approval requirements or for research projects,  

 

QWES provides the necessary fieldwork component to any management plan. Mainly specialising in Koala management and research programs, the site based fieldwork component includes habitat assessment, survey, data collection, location, capture and radio telemetry monitoring.

Tosh from QWES has extensive experience and proven ability to provide the highest quality Wildlife Management Services, while operating under strict Scientific Purpose Permits (SPP) and Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) requirements.  Some Wildlife Management projects undertaken by QWES include:

  • Moreton Bay Rail Link Koala Translocation and Monitoring Program: Contracted to Endeavour Veterinary Ecology for Dept. Transport and Main Roads.

  • Fauna Crossing Road Infrastructure Project: Contracted to Griffith University for Dept. Transport and Main Roads.

  • Urban Koala Management Program: Contracted to University of Sunshine Coast for Redland Bay Regional Council.

  • EVNT Amphibian Monitoring: Contracted to Greenleaf Ecology for Dept. Transport and Main Roads
