NEST BOX INSTALLATION & HABITAT ENHANCEMENT
SERVICES

Breeding sites for native animals are essential for a species survival. Animals such as possums, gliders, parrots, owls and bats rely upon hollow tree limbs for shelter and rearing their young. These special habitat features can take hundreds of years to naturally form, so it's critical areas of bushland containing them are preserved whenever possible.

However, when land clearing and subsequent habitat destruction is conducted, displaced animals can perish if unable to find new shelter and breeding sites. By enhancing wildlife habitat with nest boxes and other artificial shelter structures, an animal's survival is greatly increased as these will be utilised in place of a natural site. Regrowth or degraded vegetation lacking shelter and breeding sites for wildlife can also be fitted with nest boxes to enhance this habitat.

QWES can provide and install nest boxes to suit a wide range of species and their specific requirements.
