Bruce Highway Upgrade (Caloundra Rd to Sunshine Motorway):
Species Management Plan - Amphibian Management Program
QWES was contracted to assist with specialist species management during construction of the Bruce Highway section between Caloundra Rd and the Sunshine Motorway at the Sunshine Coast. Due to habitat impacts during construction, several EVNT listed frog species such as the Giant Barred Frog and the Wallum Froglet required monitoring for the project's environmental compliance.
Field data such as water quality testing, habitat structure and climate conditions were recorded for management and compliance purposes.

Noosa Threatened Species Nest Box Program:
QWES was contracted to provide its specialist tree access services to install species specific nest boxes within various locations around Noosa. These nest boxes were deployed strategically to provide breeding sites for threatened species such as Glossy Black Cockatoos, Yellow-bellied Gliders and Greater Gliders. Periodic monitoring of these nest boxes were conducted to determine effectiveness of the program.
